Summary

Multifunctional Kitchen Tiles.

With urbanization being what it is, the ever shrinking kitchen has become a crowded place. Jig-saw allies the kitchen's complex and numerous needs with a dwindling space, without compromising, but rather enhancing aesthetics. The tiles placed on a pre-stainless-steel surface over the wall stripe, between counter-top and cabinets, are magnetised, mobile, removable, interchangeable and especially functional. Cutting board, Tray, Scale among others are morphed and custom-tiled on a wall, maximizing space, increasing practicality and adding personality to one of the main spaces in a home.

The main challenge was to incorporate functional kitchen ware within the tile format while keeping their full usability. being an uncharted territory, finding production facilities for one single project was an issue, but the interest in mass production if adopted was obvious, specially with the design offering a solution to a major current and upcoming urban space problem.
